As a mother of two young sons, I desire for them to realize the importance of being engaged with others who know and value true masculinity. I am personally invested in their mental health, having healthy and meaningful relationships, understanding gender equality, and surrounding themselves with a community they can positively do life with. Boys want to grow up to be like their male role models; I am hopeful that we can help create a society where boys have those models, and men have a community where they are actively engaged in a healthy masculine lifestyle.
Zach Berghouse, Treasurer
My wife and I have been blessed with four beautiful daughters (and yes, our family dog is a female too). These blessings in my life have consistently reminded me of the impact that my actions as a father can have on their everyday life. I fail often, but I continue to have hope that through consistent practice and being part of organizations like Unlock Masculinity that I can help create a world that will help men and boys be the best they can be every day, which will also provide a healthy and prosperous environment for my daughters in the future.

I am personally invested because I was tired of living in a world where it was not okay for males to show weaknesses or be vulnerable. At the time I had been life coaching young men and saw how much they needed to be supported in this way. I began to dream of an organization that could support and equip boys and men to be the best they can be. Hence, the birth of Unlock Masculinity in 2018 to "build a foundation for healthy masculinity."

I have a daughter and in a lot of ways, I feel like being a part of this allows me an opportunity to help shape and mold the generation of guys that she will grow up with. I’m not just interested in helping men figure out themselves, but also very interested in helping people learn how to better interact with the world around them.
